We had a really great stay here! Perfect location, reasonable price, extremely spacious room, and AWESOME customer service. The only reason I’m not giving the last star is because it is outdated (not horribly) and some of the floors have a stench to them. I would definitely recommend staying here for a really nice downtown accommodation! Just understand it is not your most modern experience.

I’m from Michigan, the downriver area. Came from South Carolina to attend a wedding. Decided to stay here. Nice rooms. Great customer service! & the valet was exceptional as well. No complaints. I’d stay here again. Besides the street the hotel is located on getting blocked off on Friday and Saturday night & trying to get to the hotel entrance for the night.

Decent hotel in a nice downtown location. First room didn’t have working AC and it took two phone calls with no results as well as going down to the front desk in order to get our room changed. Then I was charged $60 for internet when I was told it was free for members. I had to visit the front desk again to get the bill corrected. Finally they billed my credit card at check in for incidentals in an amount that was $200 more than the actual cost for our two night stay. Again, something that needed to be corrected.

Very good quality hotel. Rooms were awesome and very comfortable. The only issue was that the 3 members of staff I had interaction with were very robotic and lacked any emotion. actually not very friendly or welcoming. Good location though.

Room: Booked four people to the room, but only received two towels. We had to ask multiple times to receive more towels. There were stains on the sheets and crusty spots on the bathroom floor. Room smelled like cigarettes. Only a mini fridge in the room. No coffee maker, but there’s a coffee shop in the lobby. Good luck trying to get coffee/food there because there’s not enough staff to be efficient with the high demand. The room temperature was too hot for good sleep. The AC was set to 66 degrees, but it would only reach 71 degrees. The hallway AC worked way better than the bedroom AC. The bathroom doesn’t have a fan/vent, so it becomes a sauna when showering. It’s so humid in the room that there’s mold growing on the ceiling. The toilet seat was loose and came off while in use, resulting in a fall. Maintenance did come and repair the toilet quickly. We also requested our bathroom floor to be cleaned due to the maintenance workers tracking dirt into the bathroom, but it never happened. I even called the front desk 3 different times to request service.

Pool: Requires reservations. No towels in the pool area. It’s on the 8th floor and we had to ask the front desk for the location.

Exercise Area: decent treadmills and enough free weights and machines to get the job done. The weights and machines looked like they were from a 1970s gym. Some of the machines were broken.

Parking: valet parking for $33 for 24 hours or $25 for 24 hours for self parking.

The hallways and carpets were dirty and dilapidated. Overall, I was very disappointed in the quality and lack of upkeep in the hotel. Definitely not worth the price they’re charging."}]}

Honestly if it weren’t for the pool it would be a four star review. Make sure you go to the pool if you stay here, it’s the best part of the hotel by far. Also a lot of winding hallways around the fitness center that look like they haven’t been renovated since 2002. Good vibes all around.

This was by far the worst hotel experience in recent memory for me. Never have I been asked to pay over $250 per night and received such subpar customer service. First I booked a package that included breakfast and parking, couldn’t be found, luckily I screenshot it at booking. The room is barely cleaned. Paper on the floor mirror had spots towels were dingy looking and when I asked for more they wanted to see the proof of my issue before I was given new towels. So I had to walk back to my room and then return to the towel room. Hotel hallways are filthy trash and debris everywhere. I attempt to use my $10 food voucher, which is a complete rip off once you see the cost for package or buying your own, and I’m told they are not taking anymore orders because their backed up. Huh? So I end up at a local restaurant. Keep in mind this was a 2 night stay for my girlfriends birthday, we’re from Cleveland. I was told they were out of towels by a room attendant when I returned from breakfast at 1pm. My girlfriend suggested we just buy some towels when we go out with the parking voucher. The lone bright spot for me was the great parking guys. They were always courteous and you wouldn’t believe how fast.

Nice rooms, very personable staff who suggested a nice breakfast place (their restaurant was closed). While the parking is conveniently right next door in an open lot, you have to pay them $38 to valet park there, but I didn’t mind. Other places with “free parking” just hike their room prices accordingly. The valet driver was extra nice. Downtown Detroit is a fine example of a transformed city. I am attaching a few pictures from places just a block or two from this hotel.

I’ve currently been waiting over an hour to get my car from valet. There is no parking downtown Detroit but you would expect that if you pay for a hotel room, you could at least have a safe place for your car. I didn’t know that my car would not be accessible depending on what time I was checking out. It is almost 2am. I have small kids to get home to and here I am stuck at this hotel because my car is not accessible. A better system needs to be put in place ASAP! The hotel
Itself is great. But this parking situation ruined my whole experience. I just wanna get home! There is only one gentleman working. It’s a busy Saturday night.

I requested a handicap accessible room but was not given one. When I called down to the front desk, I was informed that there were no rooms available. I then requested a shower chair & was given one but the chair was not strong enough to hold my 185 lbs frame and the bath tub that I had to sit the chair in was too steep for me to attempt to get in & out. Because the room was not handicap accessible, the bed was too high for me to get in & out and the sink was too high for me to properly use. Really bad experience and the front desk was no help. It seemed they never had a wheel chair user who has a spouse ever come to the hotel.

Wow! I don’t even know where to begin with this place. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I’ve stayed in nicer, cleaner, more spacious roadside Motels. While the staff at the front desk were kind and professional, they seemed under staffed and distracted. Upon first glance, our standard King room seemed OK. While the bed appeared made by housekeeping, the bed skirt was stained with visible chucks of debris, all of the hard surfaces were grimy and dusty and I don’t even want to guess when the floor might have been last vacuumed. Nothing worse than not wanting to get too close to surfaces only to be shoved into a broom closet of a bathroom where you can’t help but bump into every wall and fixture, at ever turn….including in the shower…and I’m 5’2”/100lbs. I’ve seen whole bathroom stalls bigger than this ‘bathroom’. The tank of the toilet was covered with a tray of some sort vs a proper lid that should have come with the toilet. Half of the items that were supposed to be in the room weren’t. A nasty, empty, stained bag labeled ‘dryer’ hung on the back of the bathroom door, that I’m guessing was supposed to hold a hair dryer…the iron for the ironing board was missing and to top it all off, the coffee maker wouldn’t work in the AM. AND we had to pay $35 for parking. Just don’t. If you’re looking for a room in Detroit, ANY other place has got to be better than this.

I usually prefer to stay in Best Western Hotels. This hotel need some serious updates. One out of three elevator is not working. So, one has to await especially during the rush hours. The card to open the door is not working. I tried multiple times to get the door of my room opened. There is no water bottle in the room. I think at least there should be 1 complimentary water bottle in the room. Also, there is no parking in the hotel and they give you the parking pass to go and park the car in the paid parking garage behind the hotel. The worst thing is they charged you more than what mentioned in the parking lot. The only good thing is that they gave me the room with a good view though queen instead of king that I was booked. They told that it’s a upgrade due to a view. So 3 stars for the good view that I got otherwise I could have given the 1 star only.

This was a great place to stay in Windsor, Ontario! Overlooking the water, just down the road from Caesars Casino & next door to a high-rated Keg, this hotel is conveniently located. There’s lots to do on the water & in this downtown district. It was also more affordable than the Quality Inn out of town! They have parking for $15/night with unlimited in & out privileges. The room was clean & comfortable — pretty standard, but most of all the staff was welcoming and very professional. I would have given them a 5/5, but the pool & gym was closed for renovations. I will return!

This is the first time I and my 9 year old son have been to the Fillmore. It is absolutely beautiful inside. We went to a concert and watched the bands Dizzy and City and Colour. The staff were polite and helpful. The bathrooms were maintained by staff throughout the show. Drinks were extremely expensive, but that’s expected. The only downside was having no food options. They had nothing. No vending machines for small items like a bag of chips or M&M’s. Maybe thats how its always been…I’m honestly not sure. So because of that, I still would rate our overall experience 5 stars.

Gorgeous performance space! I only have a picture of the lobby because they had us put our phones in pouches. Really great football experience at Ford Field. It’s worth the extra money to sit in the club level, the food and drink options are terrific. The only bad thing I can say is their team shop is way way too small, and lines to check out were 20+ minute waits. You shouldn’t have to miss nearly a quarter of the game to buy a T-shirt. I had the most awesome birthday here last night! The food was great but the best part was the live entertainment. We also had a great hostess. I believe her name was Gloria who works at the front hostess desk as you enter. Servers were pretty prompt and courteous. Everyone had great attitudes, were full of laughter and the ambiance was superb. They have seating at the bar and tables to sit between 2 and about 6 people. There was no specific dress code as I seen people with t-shirts and jeans to business casual and dressy. It was definitely a fancy night for me! I highly recommend this place. Make sure you know what time the entertainment starts before you reserve your seats. There is a $10 cover charge automatically added to your bill for entertainment which is worth the experience.

I haven’t been to cliff Bells 6 years until today. The music was awesome BUT I am certainly sure that the Chef was someone different. They had a (Labor day menu) which only had pulled pork, BBQ chicken, mushrooms, and Cat fish. I don’t care for any. So i went to order cat fish and they sold out of it. I had to settle for pulled pork which i am pregnant with nausea and barely have a appetite. I received the plate and everything was not cook at its best with little to nothing on my plate. After that they did not inform us that we had to pay a cover charge which was $20 per person on top of gratuity and tax. The food was not worth $28 and up for a plate. 6 years ago they did not have a cover charge they only had tips added to the receipt and their menu used to be awesome and also the OLD Chef. Ugh i am never going back.

The bad reviews are from years ago. My parents stayed there yesterday (07/08/2021) and now it is much better. The service is good, the rooms clean and even, they were fixing air conditioners and the surroundings. Don’t be swayed by old reviews because they have improved a lot.

No frills, comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. Great location for walking to Detroit’s big venues.

I was only willing to stay for a few minutes, but I waited for my pizza to come; which took 1 hour and about 20 minutes, then my fiance and I left due to all (too many to mention) the issues with the property and the amount of disorder ( trying to be politically correct) of other people there. Very rough neighborhood, that could be from a Steven King novel. I would not recommend it for sleep, due to the amount of woofers and loud music being played by others outside their rooms. Would not take loved ones, due to others carrying firearms on their person.

Beautiful building and city. Love Detroit, home away from home. Lots to look at and visit and walk through the downtown area. While your walking you will meet nice and polite people on your journey like we did. Have fun and be safe!

I didn’t really explore the Renaissance Center. I went for a dental appointment, which didn’t require me to pass through much of it: however, from during prior visits I have always found it to be clean and well maintained. There are some retail stores, some restaurants and several GM vehicles are displayed in the lobby.

This property is so unique in comparison to anything else we’ve stayed in Detroit. You will love the modern / industrial feel. As you walk through the lobby toward the rooms, you will find a new courtyard area with plenty of seating space to hang out (and an order bar once opened)...there is also an outdoor fire pit area with oversized chairs that are ideal for taking in all of the Detroit vibes.

Room - We stayed in a king suite. As soon as opened the door, we fell in love. The artisanal details, clean living space, huge counter area, nice bathroom, and premium finishes make this a very memorable room! I was able to check out a few of the other rooms and I thought it was very cool that each room was decorated differently, making we want to go back to try another room out!

If you are looking for a cool spot to hang, with A1 staff and amazing vibes....this is a must for you!

They have a great little convenience spot located inside the hotel for snacks and coffee etc. The rooms are concrete floors with comfy beds. They are pet friendly and we were able to bring our dog. They did not tell us that it was 100$ extra to bring the pets in and we were only staying 1 night so if I knew this in advance I would not have spent the extra 100$ for one night and would have choose another pet friendly location, I couldn’t get my money back as I found this out at check in and felt obligated to pay the extra pet fee or lose my money on one nights stay, they also charge 10$ for parking and it’s under construction so there is no outdoor pavilion either. The elevator was stuck on the first floor the whole time we were there as well. We didn’t mind taking the stairs but some guests, especially the elderly ones were not too happy about that. The restaurant is also closed. If it was just a rating on the staff it definitely would have been higher but the above said mentioned and also the fact that it’s been 2 weeks and I still have not gotten my deposit is another reason I rated so low. Receptionist told me 1-3 business days and every time I call back they kept extending the wait time. Last time I called they said 10 business days. Will keep you posted on if I ever get it back. Would I recommend? Ugh, your taking a chance on the amenities but the staff are super friendly and nice. They are close to a lot of things and in a good location. We stayed at Trumbull & Porter on a Saturday night. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by amazing staff that are genuine and helpful. During these times, it’s hard enough to find people to work, let alone people to work that actually enjoy what they do. This is a great way to see how the owners treat their employees, not as workers but instead like team mates!

Fun times! Nice ambiance for a sports arena. I love the outdoor bar sitting areas. One suggestion I do have is to incorporate more plant-based foods for. There aren’t a lot of options for vegans. Other than that, I had a great time.

Nice, clean smaller stadium with inexpensive nearby parking. Great views from all seats. Easy to maneuver through traffic to get there. The only reason it’s a 4 star & not 5 for us is food pricing. I am used to ball park pricing (we have been to several) & Comerica is about 10-15% higher than other parks. Overall any day with baseball is a great day & this was no exception. Lovely park!

Cool and nostalgic ball park. Views and sight-lines were awesome in section 122. Ballpark was very clean. Amazing score board. My only complaint is the food. I have had much better in other ballparks around the country. Also Detroit seems to be in Renaissance mode which is great for the city. I hope it is revitalized. Nice bars around the ballpark.

Stayed her for a work conference. I’m not much into gambling so my review is solely based on the hotel and conference areas. Customer Service was top notch. Every employee I passed in the hallways greeted me with a warm hello. The check in woman was extremely friendly, the food was really good, everything was above and beyond in service. The room was nice with a fantastic view (I was on the 30th floor). The room itself is pretty standard.
Overall I’d recommend the hotel and I’d definitely stay again.

Although everyone on the staff I encountered was very nice, I will NEVER stay here again. I usually stay at one of the other casino hotels, (very nice room with lots of space and beautiful bathroom), but my daughter wanted to go to Greektown for her 21st birthday, so I reluctantly paid the extra money than I normally would for a room. I can’t tell you how very disappointed I was in their “deluxe” room. I can’t for the life of me figure out what put our room in the “deluxe” category. The room was actually quite small. The vanity had one sink with little to no counter space. The bathroom barely had the room for the shower and toilet. Outlets near the beds were not accessible. It did have a small fridge that wasn’t even plugged in. Upon checking out, I was asked if I wanted my “amenities fee” put on the card of record. ??? There was a $17.24 charge for coffee, (which we did not use), water (excuse me) and parking. If I had only gone to the casino, I wouldn’t have had to pay for parking. Definitely not worth the money.
