As a Platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in hundreds of Marriott locations. I’ve come to appreciate the elegance and upscale nature of the Renaissance brand around the world. I’m not sure how this one is eligible for the brand.

When I checked in, the front desk let me know that their restaurant is closed. Not a big deal for me, but whatever. The next morning, I went down to the lobby to either get or buy coffee, to which I was told “sorry, we don’t have coffee because our restaurant has been closed for the past year.” HOW DOES A RENNAISANCE NOT EVEN HAVE COFFEE?

I also put in a service request on the app (more soap, because they only give you one bar for BOTH the shower and sink). The app said my request was done (about a day later), to only find out that…it wasn’t.

My experience has been poor enough that it prompted me to change my reservation from this location that I had the following week, to a Residence Inn. Isn’t it crazy to think that I bet the Residence Inn will be a better experience than a Renaissance? bonkers.

I did not know that you can negotiate rates! Sorry if that seems naive. If you plan on staying longer or on a week night or even what floor you are on can determine the price. But at The Renaissance there’s really no need to negotiate, every room and service is 5 stars. Staff genuinely care and look out for you from booking to checking in to accommodating your stay, to checking out. It is the perfect location from downtown to the airport. When in Chicago I’ll always check the Renaissance and their room availability before I travel. Zero complaints here, 100% satisfied.

Nice little quirky hotel.
Website over-sells and hotel under-delivers.

Cons:
-heated pool was cold.
-no free wifi
-there’s no mini fridge (their website says they do)
-bar is closed
-room service is closed
-shower took 10 min to get warm water. Not even hot water. Just warm.
-smaller than average showers

Pros:
-friendly service
-modern room decor
-on-site restaurant

The waitress was very helpful and considerate. The food was good and plentiful. We were celebrating a birthday so we received free desert. The service was a little less than stellar however. It took a while for our food to come out. Our bill was not 100% accurate. One of the waitstaff who was assisting came over to ask if we would like the remainder of our food packed to go. I said yes. After taking my food and setting in on a wait table to pack it, it was left there in the middle of the aisle while he stepped away to prepare an adjacent table. One, for health and safety reasons my food should not have been left uncovered in open air. For two, that just wasn’t acceptable. Overall it was a good visit. Management handled a disgruntled customer situation with poise. A customer did not want to remove his hat to dine in the dinning area. Management did a great job handling the situation.

The service was spectacular!!! While you aren’t allowed to wear hats of any kind in the dining room, the hostess was very accommodating with my party. They found an alternative to our liking. The food was delicious, the drinks were top shelf and Victor (our waiter), was nothing short of attentive. Granted there aren’t many locations in Illinois, but the Northbrook location is by far the go-to eatery.

Great food and service. Booked a room for a sweet 16. Food was well prepared. I had the tomahawk steak and lobster tail. The lobster was really well seasoned. The steak was tender for such a large cut. Price as expected.

Very helpful after a Saturday afternoon break-down on the Edens. Communication was easy and came often. The video tours from the mechanics were helpful. Really appreciate all the help from Mini especially because we are from out of state.

I’ve had one of the best experiences ever with the Fields auto group, Glencoe. I bought my mini from them years ago and have been there many times for service and maintenance…….They all know me like I’m family and they treat me as such…..particularily Javier and Justin have really shown exceptional customer service! I recently traded to a newer model and Javier was very helpful throughout that process.
I am very thankful. I was treated very well and I do appreciate it!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional car buying experience.

Pleasant experience every time I get my Mini Cooper serviced. They provide snacks, beverages, television, comfortable bathrooms and charging stations. They text message you throughout the servicing and the mechanic even records his inspection and recommends services that need to be addressed. They are also honest in explaining what is critical or whether the service can be put off.

The quality of the plays they pick varies, but the acting and production values are always top notch. The building is great with plenty of pleasant spaces for hanging out before and after and during intermissions.

I love working for this company. Through this company I have met some incredible people that I have formed life long relationships with. I was assigned a client whom I worked with for 2 years and grew to love and care for his family. Even though he passed away I still keep in touch with his loved ones. This company has given me chances to grow and learn. If you really love being a caregiver this is the company for you.

I’ve been working here for a little over 2 months. This is by far one of the best agencies to join. You are treated as a valuable person and the staff is so warm and friendly. They don’t gossip like other agency coordinators love to do in their spare office time. This company also has great clients for the most part and in the event you have a request to change clients or a case ends or WHATEVER,they switch you efficiently without bias. They also stick out for their employees because they understand we have lives outside of their company and they also stick up for you in rocky cases when it comes to challenging clients or cases…I can go on and on. I hope things stay this way. Lilly and Mary are 2 of the great coordinators I’ve had so far. Great company!

I’m a chronic back pain sufferer. I came here when I received a business card during my search for pain relief. After 5 pain doctors, 2 massage therapists, and 2 surgeries I came here. I came in the first time hunched over and dragging a leg from the nerve impingements that cause pain shooting down a leg and arm. I left after the session walking upright with an 80 percent reduction in pain while some of the pain comes down, the pain level is down. About ten appointments later and my pain down by half, I’ve been in pain for about 10 years and to learn that I might be without pain in a year or two….
This place has given me something I haven’t had in a long time hope. If you suffer from pain you have to try at least an appointment or two to see how much it helps.

Geoff was a fantastic instructor. Has the patience of a SAINT to try and help eliminate my slice! In depth explanation of what i was doing wrong and what exercises we were doing to fix it. Would recommend to anyone that wants to work on any aspect of their golf game.

The course had a very private club vibe to it. The greens and fairways were in great shape but the tee’s were in terrible shape. The course is pretty repetitive where every hole was 300-340 yards and straight with trees and ponds on both sides. For $63 with a cart, it is not a bad value.

Awesome course! Played here for the first time today, and loved it. Beautiful wide fairways and fast greens, lots of old trees, a little bit of water and some challenging holes. Kudos to the grounds crew as everything looked great. Would definitely play here again.

Yet another reason why this place is phenomenal from Sales to Service! Thank you Prem for all of your attentiveness with us today as we brought in our car for our annual oil change. Any maintenance was explained to us thoroughly. We were given a fantastic loaner SUV and promptly told when we could come back up to pick up our vehicle.

Nick was great to work with and I definitely hope to be a repeat customer. I contacted multiple other dealerships in the state and had one just 5 miles from my house, but I drove the extra 80 miles round trip because Nick didn’t try to play games with me, he communicated in a timely manner, and overall just made the process easy. Ricky was great as well. The MB dealership experience is a big step above most other brands. Thanks guys!

A smaller library, which is to be expected for a village of ~8k. In my opinion, this is the most family-friendly library I’ve ever visited and this is due in large part to the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ve probably been here a few dozen times with and without my children.

When COVID hit they changed their policies and layouts to be still very usable and safe despite the added restrictions.

A true gem!
