Overall experience was good but would be 5 stars if the rooms had a mini fridge and the chilled water available was actually cold instead of warm tap water. The hotel was clean and the chwck-in/out process at the kiosks was awesome. Unfortunately, the staff never welcomed and or greeted during my stay which gave to hotel a more self service/your own your own feel to it. I would recommend this hotel due to the location and the service at the restaurant connected through the hotel. If I stayed again, it would only be for 1 night.

Great spot overall. Parking was a block an half away but nearly everything is within walking distance. The staff were great and helped us with everything we needed. I would stay there again just with a bigger bed.

This hotel is located conveniently to Union Station, The Art Institute, and Millennium Park. I arrived earlier than check in and noticed a line at the front desk but 3 convenient kiosks. I was able to skip the line, check in early, and receive my room key card just like that from the kiosk! Right off the bat I was impressed by that alone. My room was just the right size and temperature and the tv had a great “cast” option so I could watch what I had on my phone right on the big screen. Surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and attractions, I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel stay was so amazing! We wanted to take a short trip to Chicago with our baby girl and we’re so pleased with the staff, their professionalism, their willingness to go the extra mile for us and the amazing food they served. The room was perfect and ANYTIME we were uncomfortable(air in the room) they addressed our issues immediately and with a great attitude. I’m expecting a baby boy and became very hot even though the air was on 70 degrees. I asked them to turn it down to 65. They sent an engineer to our room to adjust the temperature to make sure I was comfortable. We loved everything about the hotel stay but our favorite part was the way they cleaned and sanitized the room for our safety and comfort. Did I mention room-service was delicious? We had the turkey sandwich, steak and burger and felt we were at at 5 star restaurant. They made our order to perfection! I can’t rave enough about how awesome they were. We asked for a baby crib and they provided the bed within minutes of our request. I’m so appreciative and will bring my entire family to this hotel every time I visit Chicago.

I bet a good friend there and we sat in the lobby and enjoyed a vegetarian dish that was very delicious.

The customer service is amazing and they were attentive to honoring my request.

The dining experience was a perfect example of the importance during this time of shifting that we remember The human experience is more important than any amount of technology

Very nice views from the City but the rooms and overall in the place are not as cozy as the rate per room suggests and need some maintenance cracked doors, stained tables, etc. A whole renovation.
The staff is very attentive and kind but the building facilities doesn’t match with them.

My wife Lisa and I had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District September 24. We attended a wedding on September 25 a 10 minutes Uber drive to the Church for the wedding, and the reception was about 0.2 mile from the hotel.

We were greeted by Robyn with a BIG Smile very personable, she provided us a wonderful check-in experience – one of the BEST we have ever had in our 30+ years of traveling! Oscar who took over the main desk after Robyn left for the evening was also very personable and helpful in helping us check-out and providing us information about where to get something to eat and more. He also provided us with a parking checkout code since after out late checkout at 1:00pm our original parking code expired at 5:00pm September 25, so for the small fee of $20 he issued us a parking code good to September 26 as we were not leaving the Wedding Reception until 10:00pm or a bit after to travel back home to central Indiana. Thank you Robyn and Oscar, and the Hampton Inn Majestic, we will definitely stay at the Majestic again!

Great location. Nice feel to the hotel. Rooms are standard for a larger city. Beds are comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Generally a good stay. My biggest complaints are that the towels were really worn, almost to the point of visibly having holes and the breakfast was really not great by Hampton Inn standards. If the bath linens and breakfast challenges were resolved, it would be a great spot, especially for families.

Don’t forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a room. This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I’ve been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I’m sure!

Very nice and clean hotel. It’s not very posh but the ambience is wonderful and the staff is awesome. Any and all issues are addressed immediately regardless of the time. They are quick to offer remedies. I will visit again soon!!!

The lobby is something out of a movie‼️ Location is a little rough with a homeless element outside. Parking garage is near and convenient.

Nick at the front desk is a ROCKSTAR. I had an issue the first night and he was QUICK to offer a solution that went above and beyond my expectations. Charming and hospitable, this is the perfect career and it’s in line with his natural gifts.

Thank you Nick for making sure I was comfortable!

I would recommend this place

I felt secure with locks at every possible place. Front desk is amazing and the place is kept clean all the time. Me being first time in a hostel…. I must say I am happily thrilled with this experience. Needless to say the hostel being in the loop, you can get around very easily to all the major tourist attractions

Would visit again !!!

This facility is AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, AND UNEXPECTEDLY INTERESTING. I am gratefully shocked that the rate is so modest for such a proficient and, obviously generously financially endowed, operation and property. I’d love to live there. Or even work there. The staff is readily available 24/7 if needed, but virtually invisible if not. The atmosphere is very laid back. The decor is artistic, colorful, and warmly thought provoking. Very comfortable accomodations with attention to those small, but thoughtful details that can be a calming relief to weary travelers. I plan to return at times solely as a personal retreat.

I stay here almost every time I visit Chicago. The staff are friendly and it’s in a great location (right in south loop).

Had my Triathlon the last time I was there and it was only a mile to where the Triathlon started and a quarter of mile to where I picked up my Triathlon packet.

Also it’s right about this cute Cuban sandwich cafe/restaurant, so definitely a plus.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the Art institute (roughly 3 blocks), very easy to navigate from the airport on the Blue line L- aka the loop. Room was nice, but this is an old building so it doesn’t feel as spacious as any of the chain hotels you would find by the airport. Ice can be found only at the front desk. The staff are 5 star! Gave some great local recommendations, so here is one for ya: if you like Jazz, go to the Green Mill.

Great experience!
My wife and I were weiry travellers when we arrived to the Silversmith.
We were greeted by Anastasia, the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful lady we had the pleasure to meet during our stay in Chicago.
She helped us get settled, and was so kind which made us feel at home and comfortable.
Our room was clean and our stay was memorable, and we look forward to our next stay at the Silversmith.
Than you again for your professionalism, kindness, and being so helpful to perfect strangers.

Yeah, this was nothing special. The room was clean, the front desk was friendly. The bar was great. The bartender and Israel were especially wonderful.

They advertise valet parking on the website, but they don’t actually have it. That really sucked. The alarm clock, and with it the USB charging ports, were broken. I probably should have notified the front desk, but we didn’t have time to mess around with that. There was only one nightstand.

The hotel isn’t bad, but there are many much better, similarly priced hotels in the area.

Fun hotel with a unique vibe in the Chicago business district. Within a short walk of many iconic buildings and venues. They have a fun pineapple theme (as the name suggests). You get some pineapple shaped cookies when checking in. And they have some retro style bikes also pineapple themed. They provide two comforters so you don’t need to fight over the covers and most of the rooms have great views.

Recently visited Chicago with family and we chose to stay at Stay Pineapple and we would gladly stay again! Great value for the cost and the hotel is very charming. We loved the lobby décor and the general vibe of the hotel. The beds were extra plush and the complementary robes in the rooms were a nice touch. We also loved the food/beverage credit each day to grab a snack on our way out to the town or after getting back from a long day. Of the several times I’ve been to Chicago I have not had a more reasonably priced stay that was so comfortable and located in the heart of The Loop. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Surprise! Clean and quite room that wasn’t expensive! Pleasantly surprising. Take a nice stroll on over to Buckingham Fountain to enjoy the night air and breathtaking skyline view from Grant Park😁 Or walk a few blocks south on Michigan to Roosevelt and have some Aurelio’s Pizza. Once you’ve retired to the modest accommodations you’ve taken up in this historic treasure, let the smooth familiar sounds of the Elevated Train cares you asleep. I think a hotel that has a dinner style restaurant serving traditional breakfast is a cut above. So don’t worry, you are surrounded by delicious food in every direction😂😅! My kinda Town📍

Not too bad but the rooms are very old and they charged us $170 per night which it’s definitely not worth. I’d stay somewhere else and get your money’s worth. They don’t vending machines so you have to walk a ways to get a snack. No pool. No fitness center. No comforters on the beds and no fitted sheet. Spider webs in the room also and the door to the room wouldn’t open so we had to get another room which that door was also stuck shut. They do have a pretty good breakfast restaurant though. But this place is not worth $170 per night!

Other than the size of the room I have no complaints. Reasonable rates, clean, centrally located, friendly staff, convenient food options and decent choices of nearby paid parking. It’s not the newest building but they make up for it in style and service. Definitely recommend and will return.

We really had a great stay at this historic hotel and if it wasn’t for the lack of any sort of housekeeping we would have rated it 5 stars. The hotel itself and our room was very clean. We had a corner king which provided plenty of room. Check in was smooth. There’s plenty of restaurants nearby or you could walk to the main shopping area on Michigan Ave which was less than 1 mile. Navy Pier is closer to 2 miles (maybe further) but very walkable.

Our only complaint – we stayed three nights at this hotel and requested light housekeeping twice from the front desk. We wanted fresh towels and maybe more hand soap and lotion. They didn’t make it to the room once and the only way we got it is if we stopped by the front desk. Relatively minor but paying $200/night it’s something I expected to be fairly standard but it didn’t ruin our stay.

We’ll return to Chicago and when we do very likely stay at the hotel again. Great location for exploring the city and close to the train.

Really beautiful hotel. Everywhere is just gorgeous. Our room was clean, well-detailed, and the bathroom area was just amazing – was almost as big as the bedroom itself. Its right across from Grant Park so its within walking distance of just about everything you want to see in that part of town. To make parking really easy, just down a block behind the hotel is a parking lot we just used for the weekend for a really cheap rate as well. Ended up just walking everywhere!

Would definitely stay here again!

Nice rooms and nice stay, but management doesn’t prioritize guest safety and aren’t willing to enforce local mask ordinance in the lobby, or simply ask/remind guests. On Sat Aug 21, a large wedding party roamed half the lobby taking photos unmasked, fine, but then refused to mask after photos and even had the gall to attempt to take up more space unmasked to take more photos. Staff or management should have kept guests safer and asked for reasonable compliance with the law. Instead guests had to stand up and resist themselves and say no.

I stayed in room 804. The room next to us, closer to the direction of the elevator, had multiple people in it just talking, laughing, and having a good time. They were not yelling. They were doing everything you should be able to do in your own room. It’s now 3:45AM, and the issue is the hotel walls. They are paper thin, so you hear everything. I mean I can verbatim repeat their conversations. So, I called the front desk. I explained they were doing nothing wrong, but that due to the paper thin walls, I have not been able to sleep. He was nice. He told me no manager was available to assist, and that they are completely sold out so there’s nothing he can do. $370.39 for one night in a hotel where I can’t sleep. I’m beyond aggravated. Spoke to Ben, the Manager, and he said, “unfortunately it’s an older building and there’s nothing he can do about the noise. You did the right thing by calling (at 3:30/4:00am)” Thanks, Ben, for absolutely nothing. I will be escalating this above you since you obviously lack customer service skills.

I have been staying here whenever I am in town for business. My last visit was not too pleasant as my suitcase invaded I believe by the cleaning crew. Made away with a few and whoever the cleaner was, locked it with a totally different padlock. It was my last day in town and I had a very early meeting … I opted to let that go. My team spends a lot of money in this hotel, hopefully someone contacts me.

You NEVER reached out to me and I after all discovered my several other items were stolen – after COVID, I will revisit this issue with my company, people need to know there is a lot of theft here!!

YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR CLEANING COMPANY AND HIRE ETHICAL PEOPLE – I AM STILL MAD TO DATE!!!

My stay here was pretty mixed. The location is great, right off of Michigan Avenue. The building is historic and the lobby/entrances are really beautiful. The rooms overall were updated. I think the Hilton gets the big things right, but misses the mark on the details. The service was not always the best. Asking for things sometimes seemed like an inconvenience for the staff, such as when we asked for a late check out or asked to use a luggage cart. The rooms weren’t always that clean especially in the details. When the parking lot was full, they didn’t give us much solutions or help. It would be good if they had a list of other parking lots nearby and safe they could recommend.

We’ve stayed at several hotels in downtown Chicago and theWit is the most consistently good stay. The proximity to the rail is awesome and if you prefer to walk around the loop you are right in it. We had a one night stay on 8-7-91. Concierge “Eric” was fantastic. He set us up with a great room with a view of the river, and booked our entire afternoon and evening of entertainment. The room was very nice, clean, and I especially liked the shower with good water pressure for a hotel. They also have a roof top bar that was incredible. People were coming in just to go to that place for the night. We are already planning to stay there again.

The good: there were a few nice front desk ladies who greeted us when we came in and usually unlocked the door when we came in at night so we didn’t have to use our key cards.

The bad: we ordered an Amazon food deliver and the front desk lady refused to put it behind the desk and instead left it in the front lobby chair and told me I had to come down and get it at 5am when they dropped it off. Really?!?!

The room was dirty and there was a long black hair on the wall of our shower. And there was no wash clothes in the room. See picture of the shower.

When we left one morning there was a live cockroach in one of the elevators. See picture.

If you’re looking for Holiday Inn standards, this place isn’t it.

Good location but not amazing for me as a lot of the attractions I wanted to go to were on the north side of the city which was sometimes long to get to from the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean overall.
The water from the tap and shower smelled off, like mild sewage… I don’t know if it’s normal for Chicago but that really put me off.
The rooms on the east side of the hotel can get noisy in the morning given it’s close to a major interchange and off ramp from the highway. I got woken up by large semis honking. Would not recommend for light sleepers.
Bed was comfortable, amenities offered what you expect from this price range.
I didn’t get to use the pool, I didn’t even know there was one.

5 stars for effort! We just needed a quick one night stay before taking a train trip. We were greeted by the nicest desk staff who helped us to check in early and gave great information about the area and our stay.
The lobby is worn but do t let it turn you away.
The room was nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries were super! Everything you could need was thought of. Breakfast is extra but conveniently there is a first floor restaurant. I wish I’d planned to squeeze in a swim in the roof top pool. We did go up to check it out and watch the sun set. Since we had to head out in the morning I did not want to have a wet suit.

Having been at many different hotels throughout my travels; this is definitely in my top 3. The customer service it premier, all the staff is very friendly and ready to help make you feel at home and welcomed. The rooms are very comfortable, feel unique and cozy. The restaurant serves great brunch and dinner items. The location is wonderful as it puts you within easy walking distance to shops, places of interest, and great bars and restaurants. If you are looking for a great hotel while you stay in downtown Chicago, look no further than this location.

Loved the room and the view and the window seating area!! Whenever I stay in Chicago I create a seating area to have a drink or coffee next to the window. Usually this entails ripping the cushions off the couch but Monaco anticipated this quirk of mine! 🙂 Staff was amazingly kind and so helpful even though they were very busy.

Staff were great but Just not the Best Chicago Best Western Sorry….. Definitely wait for remodel. Gave it a second try… Not again. King suites are adjoining the Elevators so horribly noisy so not really an upgrade. Dog park for apartment to south barking late into night so ask for away from south OR elevators. Dirty bathroom. No need to go on.

Upon arrival the day manager was great and very helpful, she recommended a great Mexican restaurant. When we got back and our fridge wasn’t working she moved us to a different room.
I cannot speak highly for the rest of the trip. One of our boys got sick all over one of the beds in the middle of the first night. We called the front desk and was told we couldn’t get new bedding until 7 thane next morning. Thank God our room had two beds so we were able to take one blanket for the other bed.
We advised the front desk when we came down the next morning of the incident in case the night manager hadn’t said anthing and we were assured maid service would be in the room and folding down the bed and providing fresh towels. That did NOT happen. We got back to our room at 830 that night to the dirty laundry still in the room, trash not emptied and no new towels. We had to make yet ANOTHER call to the front desk, wait for sheets and towels, and they didn’t even take our dirty sheets that had now been sitting for almost 24 hours with puke from the boys.
We will not be staying here again.

We were returning customers until now. Unfortunately, they failed to disclose that most of the hotel amenities were not available until after booking which is not cool and deceiving considering their room rates did not reflect this.

They are in the process of renovation and repairs, so the restaurant was closed during our week stay so that also meant no room service which was disappointing to learn after we arrived. Fitness center was dismal to say the least and we didn’t even see or know about a pool. Forget laundry service if you needed it. No housekeeping which was understandable but this was not made aware. The room was clean but we found a used floss pick on the floor and the Keurig machine did not work. We even signed up for the Royal Sonesta Travel Pass before arriving but that was never mentioned as a perk nor were we asked about it.

When we expressed our disappointment and concern to the front desk manager and guest service manager and there was a lot of “we understand” but their response lacked the action to do anything about it or make us feel welcomed to want to return again. It’s in a great spot and their housekeeping and one or two of their front desk workers were friendly and accommodating but that’s about all they have going right now.

Management needs improvement on customer relations. A simple gesture could have gone a long way. We hope they improve but doubt we will be back nor can we recommend to anyone. There are plenty of hotels in the area that have made a more impressionable and favorable attitude towards their returning guests.

Wonderful experience! Great location! Enjoyed the deluxe suite and all the features that went along with it. Hotel staff was incredible, helping us with whatever we needed from where to get the food we were looking for to helping us with nightlife and our return trip to the airport! If we are back in Chicago, we’ll definitely be back here.

We reserved two rooms, a double and a king suite, both overlooking the river. Both were clean and comfortable and the living room portion of the suite easily big enough for the 6 people and one toddler in our group. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go – Navy pier, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue, etc. The staff was lovely and brought us everything we needed! We couldn’t find a restaurant close by for a reservation one night so ate at the hotel – delicious food and again, great service. There is a 7/11 on both ends of the street which was very convenient. We will be back – Great hotel!!!!!!!
