Adam McCarthy
Managing Director
Adam McCarthy leads BlackOak Technical Productions with a ‘Human-First, Design-Focused’ approach. With a background in engineering, theater design, and live event production, he guides the technical, media, and creative direction services of BlackOak. Born in Detroit, he started his career in middle school as an audio technician before attending the University of Michigan for Scenic and Lighting Design. Working in live production at Santa Fe Opera, Spoleto USA, Berkshire Theatre Festival before starting at Kehoe Designs in 2012, he balances an eye for aesthetics with a keen understanding of thrilling guests on their opening night.
